Senior/Principal Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Because of continued success with our Service Provide Wi-Fi and Virtual CPE enabling technologies, Benu Networks is seeking highly effective, team-oriented, and motivated individuals to join our expanding Systems Engineering team.

In this role you will utilize your diverse technical background and communications skills to assist in the sales process by leading all technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Benu Networks’ Systems Engineers will have in-depth, hands on experience with Benu Networks’ products and services and can demonstrate a high level of expertise with IP Networking and associated protocols and overall knowledge of Service Provider environments to customers and partners.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Fully understand customer requirements and drive resulting new feature/functionality implementation into Benu Networks’ products by working directly with Product Management and Development Engineering
  • Assist in the design and architecture of Benu Networks’ Solutions into existing and new customer deployments
  • Delivery of Technical Presentations to existing and prospective customers
  • Lead the evaluation and technical qualification of Benu Products and Services during Customer Lab and Field Trials
  • Conduct product demonstrations
  • Act as Benu Networks’ technical lead working directly with Support Services and Development Engineering during new product/service production deployments
  • Assist in the response of RFPs and RFI’s
  • Assist other System Engineering Team members in their efforts with the above described activities
  • Extensive Travel Required

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years Experience in a Service Provider facing Technical Role(s)
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written with ability to communicate complex technical and sales issues to a variety of audiences
  • In depth knowledge of L3 IP Networking and associated protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, B-RAS (DHCP, RADIUS), IPv6, Multicast, QoS, Tunneling)
  • In depth knowledge of L2 switching
  • Knowledge of IEEE 802.11 Standards
  • Familiarity with Wireless Access infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Familiarity with VMs, SDN/NFV, Cloud Services
  • BS or MS EE/CS or equivalent experience
